Now Open for Bouldering!

Now that the bouldering area is complete we have made it available to you for a special pre-grand opening price of $5 for an all-day pass. Come on down and check it out. This offer ends on September 21, 2007.
So that brings up another bit of news: Our Grand Opening Extravaganza! September 22, 2007. Doors open at 12PM. Food, music, and slideshows start at 6PM. We'll publish more detail in the coming days.

Updated Photos

The bouldering routes are well on their way, and the main wall is ready to go...

Just a Quick Note

Our webmaster may have accidentally - or so he claims - lost a few e-mail addresses from the database. We'll be sending an e-mail in a couple days to those who signed up. If you don't hear from us in the next week, enter your info on the home page again. If you are still in there it will tell you.

Hey, what's new?

You may have noticed a slight change. Pay no mind. All is well. Lots of bouldering routes are up and the main wall just needs belay anchors before we start setting routes on it.

Bouldering Area in need of routes! Main wall almost ready!

These photos are hot off the press. The bouldering area is 99% complete, save for the most important part: Routes! Apply here

Yes, More Photos

Once again, these aren't the most recent photos. Now, not only is nearly all of the gym sheathed, but the bouldering wall texture is halfway complete.

More Photos

These aren't the most recent photos, but they are the most recent I have on me right now. The latest I hear from Dave is that the carpenters have finished nearly all of the sheathing. The plywood was pre-drilled, so once we get the paint/texture applied we will need all you route setters. Soon I'll be posting a way to contact us about route setting and other gym employment opportunities.

Steel Frame Complete!

The steel framing is complete and the carpenters will start sheathing tomorrow. The bouldering area sheathing and framing is almost finished, too. Photos very soon. I promise.

The Main Wall

This is what you have been waiting for: The main wall framing is nearly complete. Here is a little taste...

Proof!

This is it! Now you can see documented evidence that we really are building a climbing gym. In addition, the fabricator is currently installing the trusses for the main wall (photos of that to come).

Construction Begins!

Framing of the bouldering area is underway. We've got some serious overhang and really cool features - combined with killer routes should make for some excellent bouldering. Meanwhile, the fabricator has the plans for the main wall, and we'll be getting some trusses in very soon. Pictures will be posted.

What Have We Been Up To?

Recently we took a trip to the first annual Climbing Wall Association Summit, in Boulder, Colorado. Our goal is to apply what we learned from industry experts to provide a fun and safe, but also serious place to climb. Route management, staff training, and climbing instruction were among the topics discussed at various workshops.

Thank You

We are very encouraged by all the words of support and offers of help we have received. It has been a very long start, and it is finally coming together. Dave worked tirelessly for years while site after site failed to meet zoning approval or space requirements.
